It does - it helps to balance the composition. Although it is rather striking, I thought that the blue butterfly also does well to bring the painting together particularly in terms of colours.

Put simply, it helps to 'bring life' to the picture. Well done.

Ah! The Empress. That's the tarot card that is (supposedly) assigned to my birthdate (August 3), so I have a certain fondness for it anyway, much less because it's so beautiful! I'll deffinately be buying the tarot deck when you put it out (whether through some lovely time warp it were tomorrow, or in six years). That will satisfy my love of tarot and my equal reguard for your work. :)

I think that the colors clash a bit...the red and green look a tad garish.
But good work! Your wicked techniques really show through with the roses.

I adore this one! The green is just so rich. I love all the colors. The butterflies are stunning.
