Nine of Pentacles -
Material well-being and refinement, discipline in order to attain such, relying on oneself.

Her spiritual being is in communion with the material aspects of her life. She strives to make that connection musically through such an elaborate and mechanical instrument as a piano. This piano however is no pure man-made one, as it is tuned to the world around it, inextricably entwined into the fabric of nature. She is alone, in solitude and self-sufficiency. The snail shell she sits on and the spirals in the branches of the trees are a physical representation of the Golden Mean ratio, a continuum that approaches the Infinite, approaches balance, approaches the Ideal.

This is wonderful, I love love the light eminating from the window it is such a great touch. It amazes me how you fit so much on such a small area. It is really really beautiful. I love that she is seated on a seashell and that that shape is apparent in the trees as well.

This really is lovely! Your watercoloring is really amazing. The colors are so soft and muted, which give the whole piece (as well as all your paintings) this nostalgic feel. However, the area between the branches of the tree has been emphasized more than the rest of the outlines, which seems to be more of a distraction than an enhancement to the overall composition. But, again, you amaze me with the talent you possess - it's much better than I could ever hope to be. ^_^;
