Nine of Swords - Suffering from anguish, fear, anxiety, guilt, uncertainties in the night.

Stormcrows herald impending dissolution
with voices cawing raucous absolution
round and round and spiraling ever near
one future sought - one future feared

The funnel of the sky stretches up to the heavens; an ominous tower of storms with but the hope and glimmer of light high above at the eye of turmoil. "Come to me, come with me," the voice of the Stormcrows whispers to him from nearby. "Let me guide you through." With anxious eyes, he gazes upwards, away, oblivious to the proffered guidance through the night of the soul. He clutches sheathed sword close for security, rather than grasping bright blade aloft to light the way!

I absolutely love the colors of this piece -- such a soft, calm blue color scheme, all the colors very pale and desaturated. It really makes it look nice, I think. And I just love that funneling sky...It draws you right in. o_o
Beautiful~ :+favlove:

I absolutely love the circular background and colors. It really does look like the eye of a storm, it's mesmerizing!

The sky/cloud area is especially lovely in this one, Stephanie.

Gorgeous, as always! I love the spiraling, stormy sky. Your images convey the meanings of Tarot wonderfully!

So I've been trying to figure out how you make those lines within the watercolor...and by lines, and mean the circle-type lines that you have in this painting in the sky which are kind of surrounding the light source. Do you use some kind of water resistant material before applying the paint, or maybe run something over the wet paint after it's been applied??
I've been trying to reproduce that effect and to no avail...It's so cool D:
